New Blog Post: OpenSR-Test Paper Published in IEEE GRSL
We’re proud to share that our paper, A Comprehensive Benchmark for Optical Remote Sensing Image Super-Resolution, has been published in IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters (Vol. 21).
The paper introduces OpenSR-test, a benchmark specifically designed to evaluate super-resolution (SR) in remote sensing, addressing key limitations in current practices—namely, over-reliance on synthetic data and ill-suited computer vision metrics. OpenSR-test offers curated cross-sensor datasets, remote sensing–focused metrics, and a transparent evaluation protocol to assess how well SR models improve actual spatial detail, not just image aesthetics.
The framework is open-source and available here.
Thanks to our co-authors and supporting institutions, including ESA, for making this possible. Check out the open access paper for full details!
